‘The Big Mower’ is Back in Action!
‘The Big Mower’ is Back in Action!
After months out of action, ‘The Big Mower’ has finally returned to service at Apollo Football Club. Our John Deere 3235C, sidelined since mid-2024 due to hydraulic issues and worn roller assemblies, has undergone extensive repairs to get it back in top working order.
The club has invested in new front and rear roller assemblies for all cutting units, ensuring a smooth and even cut. Every reel blade has been professionally sharpened, and the hydraulic system has been serviced, with failing hoses and connections replaced. While these repairs came at a significant cost, they were essential to keeping our playing surfaces in the best condition for players and supporters alike.
With ‘The Big Mower’ back in action, the grounds will be looking better than ever. A big thank you to ground staff and everyone else involved in making this happen.
